Two-Factor Authentication

You can never be careful about your personal data on the Internet. Two-factor authentication (2FA) now requires protection. Enable 2FA now to make sure no one else can hijack your WhatsApp account.

Go to Settings> Accounts> Two-Step Verification and follow the instructions. You will be asked to include your e-mail address as well as a six-digit passcode. The next time you register your phone number with the WhatsApp, you will be asked for the key in this passcode or use the email address entered to access your account.

Make the passcode something you remember, but not related to your real phone number. For example, don't use the last six digits of your phone number as your passcode. Maybe your birthday isn't a great idea.

Control Your Privacy on WhatsApp

Back Up Chats to Google Drive

You can restore your WhatsApp chat history in a few steps. But what if you lost your phone, or got a new one, or had to reconfigure your existing storage? Although WhatsApp supports regular chat history, there's an easier (and better) way: Google Drive.

WhatsApp for Android lets you automatically backup your chat logs to Google Drive. Go to Menu> Settings> Chats & Calls> Chat Backup> Google Drive settings and configure it. I'd recommend daily backups (you can choose weekly, monthly, or manual), including Wi-Fi only (which saves data costs), and videos.

Mark Chats as Read or Unread

Now you can hide your WhatsApp status or when you were last seen, which is great. But for your own personal use, sometimes, you want to mark a message as read.

Think about it in the email. The ability to right-click and mark unread (which you probably don't use the amazing features of Gmail is a great way to remind yourself that you haven't fully registered email) , That you need to answer it, or that it is important in some way.
